In 2007 I bought a second hand laptop from Cash-Converters in Belfast. It served me well over the next two years at Uni. Until it started crashing a week before the end of the second semester this year forcing to have to buy a new laptop to finish the year.
Last week I spent several days trying to fix the laptop hoping perhaps to sell it on. But one blue screen too many and I had had enough and gave it a screen condition worth complaining about.
I removed the hard-drive, RAM and DVD-Writer and was going to keep the rest as a ornament; but something terrible happened…
The laptop was sitting casually on the roof.
Oh no! It seemed to fall off.
And was attacked by a vicious dog!
The laptop jumped through the air trying to escape the deadly teeth of the grinning Collie.
But out of the frying pan and into the fire as the laptop ended up hanging out with a bad crowd.
It started with a misunderstanding about the Hammers mother.
Trying to get away the laptop jostled the irritable Harry Hatchet, who buried it in the laptops face. That’ll hurt in the morning.
The Hatchets mafia connected brother Sledge “The Hammer” Cogniti got a few digs in.
Now clueless and somewhat key-less the poor laptop stumbled straight into the path of “Angry” Axe McSplinter.
In a last attempt to escape the poor laptop hit CTRL ALT DEL. Unfortunately something short-circuited…
At this point I felt obliged to step in and hose down the laptop.
Thankfully the laptop only suffered minor superficial damage.
And should hopefully be covered by the insurance.

It’s been 1 month since this post…
It’s now been almost 3 months…
(I’m not one to talk)
Yes I know it’s been three months, but I started my placement three months ago so I thin there’s a connection. Although I am planning to post soon(ish). I do have a placement blog online but it’s not very interesting.
